The egyptian soldier was examinating the remains of a caravan that had been assaulted, some had fled some had died, so is the war cruel and terrible, Captain Chahor had wondered why his dearest Chepri had taken so long to write but it wansn't so the messenger had been killed but fortunatelly the thieves had just taken the few gold they found on him and, hidden under his kilt was the letter and, though spilled with blood it was the best news Chahor had heard in a long time.
But the content of the letter was disturbing mentioning threats to the Chepris temple and dangers of all sort, so Chahor quickly start his letter.
Dear Chepri
It is hard to believe that I had only been away for three months, without you every second seems to last forever, the carrier of this letter apparently got lost and it took him much longer than normal to reach me.
But what is this I read in your letter? and what is this threat that lurks about your temple my dear?, truth it is that at this very moment I desire no other thing that comming back, specially now but I know you wouldn't approve it and I would have to abandon my men but say a word and I would be at your feet to protect you my dear from any harm.
I don't doubt your capacity of taking care of things but by Mut you're pregnant, so much trouble and political strife cannot be good for a woman expecting a child.
Please send word to me to know thy art well and give some peace to my troubled heart.
forever yours
Chahor
