Apiladey places the pink stone in my hand. For all its flaws, just like Apiladey, it still has its redeeming values. I smile and look into his eyes. I am actually very touched by his small gift. Raising my other hand to his cheek, I am about to speak my words of heartfelt thanks for his heartfelt gift when we are suddenly interrupted by someone shouting that they want to buy Apiladey a drink. I drop my hand and sigh sadly.
