I am he known as Ramesses III, Ramesses a name I have taken from that illustrious precursor, known down the annals of time as Ramesses II, the most remarkable king of these lands in all of time. So remarkable, indeed, and so well-remembered, that his mummy being brought to far northern soils millennia in the future was honored as befits any living regal dignitary, with full diplomatic and military honors and respect.

I take his name upon myself, that I bring honor to his memory. And when I die, my cartouche mirrors his.

I am User-maat-re Meryamun, heqaiunu (Powerful is the Justice of Re, Beloved of Amon, ruler of Iunu), Ramesses III.
