The Painter's Place

For as far back as my family remembers (and my great-aunt remembers things before she was born), we have been painters to the Imperial court. We have moved many times. But our small properties were always near the Weeping Cherry city of Kyoto, and here it is that I return. Now that my parents are gone, only my sister and I still live in the family home, and here we paint.
