William G. Gray was an esotericist and occultist, born in the United Kingdom in 1913, who devoted his life to the Western spiritual way. He began writing in the late 1960's; his works discuss both Qabalah and the Western Mystery Tradition. He founded the Sangreal Sodality magical order.

Here I will be focusing on his qabalistic works and, in particular, the tarotic attributions he has created for the Tree of Life.

Note: The Abyss refers to the "hidden" crossing/bridge on the Tree of Life between Binah and Chesed. Gray refers to it as the "division between divinity and humanity".
