Ceann Mor of Vindobona

The first household to settle here in Vindobona settlement and what a beautiful region it is.

Slainte!

I am the Ceann Mor of the village settlement of Vindobona. I shall mention just a little about our great little village. If one is looking to settle down this would be such a beautiful area to do so. There are various reasons that I like personally so I will briefly enlighten those whom are interested. Vindobona is only in its early stages of growth but we have great hopes that others will soon follow to set up camp within the village.

Our location is ideal for such as we there is the great river of Donau (Danube) that passes just a stone throw away - so we have an ample supply of water for our village needs. To the back of our village we have a great thick mass of trees that is full of wild beasts so there is good hunting ground. This area of trees also grow up the slope to a large flat top hill and surround it. We hope one day to build a Dun for our people that is made strong like the strength of which a bull possesses. To the east of the settlement we have mountains and that is where the god of thunder 'Thor' does dwell for we have heard him up there.

Vienna Woods

We have plenty of land for farming and there is a grove where would be a good place to set up an altar to the gods and goddesses and pay homage to them. There is already pens setup and are being stocked with animals as I tell you this by my man. So, I hope that the bounty that this beautiful settlement has will entice you to become a villager of Vindobona. Here is to praying for growth of our settlement.
