Welcome to the Stag and Eagle Tavern! Proprietor: Keridwen Catuvellauni. Please leave all spears, swords and assorted weaponry at the door. No outwardly violent actions will be tolerated; our big, burly Celtic bouncers will see to that! Rooms of varying size and comfort are available at the back, depending on your budget, should you decide to stay. The low-end rooms are kept reasonably free of fleas, though you need to provide your own blanket. We range right up to the spick-and-span, lavishly furnished quarters for you Romans who like your comfort and are prepared to pay for it. A low-class, honeyed wine for those at the lower end of the social scale. Made locally by some stubborn Roman set in his ways, and as this is Britain and not the best grape-growing area, you can imagine just what quality it must be. Specially imported from the Campania region in Italy, and aged for between 10-20 years. For those of you who will more readily part with that cash of yours. Our house special, for the glorious Celts and to teach you feeble Romans just what alcohol is meant to be like. Your choice of herbs.
