Tranquility
Place of peace and healing, the oikidion is set high on the hillside, and has a magnificient view of the ocean. inside the oikidion is a shrine to Artemis, Potnia Thera, Mistress of animals. You will find my cats Bastet and Sekhmet basking in the sunshine in the garden where I grow herbs, vegetables and flowers. There's a bench outside, where I can sit and enjoy the sunshine and breeze. There's a pool to cool off on hot summer days....you are welcome to visit

 Refresh yourself at the pool. You can wait for me if I am out. Usually during the day I am out walking, and return near sunset to bathe,light the lamps in the shrine, and place the food offering by the Goddess' feet. A few minutes spent in quiet meditation, and then we can eat. Greens from the garden, bread with herbed olive oil for dipping, wine, lentil stew, fruit and little fig pastries for dessert. If friends come over, I bring out some Egyptian date wine saved for such occasions.We can all sit outside in the garden to talk and laugh, share songs and stories under the stars. There are soft sheepskins,and wool blankets to keep you warm when you sleep....nights can get cool here.
