Please browse at your leisure, there are plenty of copies around. On this shelf we have assembled volumes of Writing Contests and various articles composed by AW’s very own Roman authors onthe subject of Saturnalia. There are even one or two contributions by barbarians ! All these scrolls bear witness to the merriment and crea- tivity that abound in Rome during Saturnalia. In addition, we have brand new copies of a rarely seen work : T. M. Plautus’ comedy Captivi. The main characters in the play, a master and his slave, have a unique relationship which is a fine example to all for all times, not only for Saturnalia. You may pick up a copy on that shelf.
