Fyrdsele

A Fyrdsele is a warrior's hall. Here is my main residence, my weaponkeep, and a modest collection of texts my lord Ælfred is having translated into our Anglisc tongue.

Welcome to my primary home and headquarters. I live here in Winchester, not far from the Hall of my lord, Ælfred, Cyning [King] of Wessex and of all Anglalond [England].

If you are here to sign up for Ælfred's national army, or fyrd, thank you, friend! The Anglisc army has two sections or shifts. Whenever one half the army is afield, the other half is at home with their families and land. That way we can preserve the way of live we are fighting to protect against the Danes. As for weapons, here are a couple common Anglo-Saxon weapons. Pick any one to learn about it, and try it out for size!
