Nestled along the cobbled paths in old Kyoto is a humble machiya. Silver chimes above the door merrily announce your arrival. A shop at the front caters for all your artistic and writing needs. Konnichiwa honoured guest!

If you wish to see me personally Aimi will show you into the kyoshitsubu where I've been living since leaving the Imperial Court. You will often find
me busily writing in the zashiki which looks out onto the courtyard garden.
