Welcome to the Pictures Library - Mesopotamian branch. This library is part of the Pictures Library Network
The purpose of this place is to provide photographies related to the cultures of the Near and Middle East through history, from the late prehistoric settlements to the early 20th century* and which can be used by Ancient Worlds members for their homes, the hoods or to illustrate articles (please see terms of use below)
Please leave any question that you may have at the information desk or at my Byzantine Palace
Note that "Pictures On Demand" requests should be addressed to our headquarters in Yushima, Edo, Japan (this service will become available with the opening of the headquarters)
Help your local Library
If you enjoy your visit here, if our services prove useful to you and that you'd wish to give something back in return, here's how you can help us:
By linking back to us, either with a simple text link or using one of ours codes (all links should point to the main page: http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/Places/Property/1031952, thank you!)
By contributing your own pictures to the library (more details coming soon!)
By becoming a Library Member (more details coming soon)
*For Roman Near East illustrations, visit the Pictures Library - Roman branch (opening soon)
Terms of use: Pictures can be used as shown or can be modified and/or integrated in a composition. Credit must be given to the author on the page the picture is used, unless otherwise stated (see notice under the picture). Credits of pictures taken in a museum must also specify the name of the museum (refer to the picture's notice)
In cases where crediting is not systematically possible: for avatars and homes' perspectives, please give credit on the main page where the picture's used (home's main page); for plaques and awards, it would be unpractical to credit on the plaque/award itself, or to ensure that all recipients of said plaque/award give credit - therefore, it is sufficient that the author of the dervative work cite their source (it doesn't have to be found at the same place as the derivative work)
This "licence" is valid for use whithin the scope of Ancient Worlds LLC only; if you wish to use any of the picture at another site, please contact the picture's author (unless otherwise stated in the picture's notice)
