Another Hall of the slain similar to Valhalla but ruled over by Freyja until the great battle of Ragnarok. Those warriors not selected for Valhalla come to Folkvangar where they practice and feast until the great and dreadful final battle where they shall be led by the goddess of pleasure to do battle with the giants.

Viking oral tradition mentions that the "offensive" warriors who have dedicated their life to fighting, go to Valhalla, Odin's hall, while the "defensive" warriors, those fallen ones who only fight to protect their clan, families and goods, come here to Freyja's hall.
