Hall of the Slain where Odin holds court.

The Hall of Heroes, where those who have fallen in battle called the Einherjar, are delivered by the Valkyrie upon their death.

Presided over by Odin, the hall has 540 doors and is roofed with rafters of huge shining spear shafts and tiles of golden shields. The western door is guarded by a wolf and above the hall hovers a great eagle. Every day the warriors practice and prepare for the great battle of Ragnarok and every night they are healed of their wounds and feast while they await the great and dreadful day when they shall join Odin for the last battle.
