Welcome, Cimon, as Praetor Urbanis!
dateline: Sep 26, 2002 - 23:47

Cimon Aristocratos, a long-time AncientSites veteran, has been active on the Community Zero Caesar board and, now, will help edit ADJ (or, properly, ADI!)

For 18 months, Cimon Aristocratos, who is thoroughly expert in the Caesarian period, has nurtured discussion on a wide range of Caesar's actions and other aspects of the late Republic, and has agreed to serve as "praetor urbanis" - or co-editor! I enjoy working with Cimon so much because of his expertise - and also because he and I don't always agree on Caesar, which makes for fun discussions!

Congratulations Cimon!
You will be a pillar of the development of Aedes Divi Iulli!

Not at all an expert, just a student
Thanks for your praise,Heraklia, but don't cast me as an expert. I'm only inquisitive. The Roman Republic, especially from the Gracchi to its end (which I perversely suggest came with Cicero's murder), especially intrigues me. Here's to more rousing discussions, a continuation from the old AS through CZ and now onto AW!

Congrats, Cimon!
I hope you will feel comfortable in your task! I also hope that the leaders will give you the right title (i.e. a question of Latin, which is my duty to perform in another group in Rome): Praetor Urbanus, with -us at the end. Caesar was a man of exquisite Latin language and he would have thought it correct as well, to have this corrected (the teacher said, LOL)

Have fun!

Tanaquil

LOL - Gratias tibi ago, Tanaquil!
As all (unfortunately) know by this time, my greatest weakness is my abysmal ignorance of Caesar's own language . . . so please, in any issue, I'd be most grateful for your corrections. I don't want a divine thunderbolt from wherever he is now!
