Ave!
Greetings of peace! My name is Marcus Aemilius Constantinus, and Aedes Divus Iulius is the first group that I've had the privilege of joining in AncientWorlds.

I am particularly captivated by the Roman system of government as it was during the late Republic -- magistrates, comitiae, the cursus honorum and so on. Of course, anyone who dabbles in this area of specialisation soon finds it impossible to ignore the events that led to the rise of the Augustan Principate, so the Civil War and events related to it also fall within my range of interests.

As for the great man himself, there's no contest: I am definitely casting my lot with him. I've long admired Caesar's military genius (Gaul in particular, but I'm also beginning to read up on his campaigns in Britannia), and his political skills are beyond reproach. (Well, perhaps not completely beyond reproach, but he definitely did an admirable job as a statesman.)

Salve amici

Thanks for having me. Having failed miserably to join the group on community Zero, I am happy to be here, I look forward to many great discussions.

Hail Caesar
I dont think anyone represents an empire or country better than Caesar does. You think of Rome, and you almost automatically think of Caesar, his impression on history is that powerful. Oh, by the way I'm Robius Maximus, I just joined. I am looking forward to reading your topics and discussions. Also I invite you to visit my home site. Feel free to post anytime. Again, it is nice to meet all of you and hopefully I will get to meet and talk with some of you. Hail Caesar.

Pick it up for Caesar...
Hey guys. I know little about Caesar but the man fascinates me and that's precisely why I've joined. I want to learn some. Plus I'm midway through Colleen McCullough's series so I may be able to throw something in myself every now and again.

See you at the boards...
