The Results of the first SLL Latin Grammar Contest!
Here are the results of the Contest: 1.D, 2.A, 3.B, 4.D, 5.D, 6.C, 7.C, 8.C, 9.B, 10.B, Bonus question: C. In this first edition of the SLL Latin Grammar Contest 10 AW members participated, 8 of which are SLL members. 9 participants answered all questions, 1 answered the questions minus the bouns question. 1 participant had 8 questions right out of 10. 1 participant had 7 questions right out of 11. 3 participants had 9 questions right out of 11. 3 participants had 10 questions right out of 11 (the 10 questions + the Bonus question). 2 participants had the full house: 11 questions right out of 11! Those two have been awarded as the winners of this first SLL Latin Grammar Contest: Barbara Tullius and Senex Caecilius! Congrats to both of you! Results of SLL Latin Grammar Contest II
Dear commilitones, Here are the results of the Second SLL Latin Grammar Contest: 1.C, 2.A, 3.C, 4.D, 5.D, 6.A, 7.C, 8.C, 9.C, 10.B, Bonus: A. This time, only half the number of contestants compared to the first contest, handed in their results. Was the deadline too close, regarding the Easter Days? If so, please accept my apology. I would like many of you to participate, since I see that this is a good way to keep up your Latin grammar! And besides this, it's fun! Out of 5 contestants, one had 7 answers right out of 11, one had 9 answers right out of 11, two had 10 answers right out of 11 and there is one absolute winner this time, who had 11 answers right out of 11! I would like to congratulate this winner: Urgulanius Papirius Dear Urgulanius, you just joined the Schola and you already got the big prize! You will get the award plaque soon in your domus message box. Dear commilitones, the next contest will be added in this announcement thread very soon. I will add a more reasonable deadline and there will be 10 questions from now on, since all the contestants are so good at it that we don't need a Bonus Question actually... Dear Commilitones, Here's the 3rd Edition of the SLL Latin Grammar Contest for you. It's a little story, adapted from the stories (Fabulae) of Aesopus, the ancient Greek poet of fable stories. Read the story and answer the 10 questions given below. There is also a translation question. Post your entries to kui@hdh.nl before the next deadline: May 10th 2003. LUPUS ET CANIS (a wolf and a dog discuss their lives) 1.Lupus: Tua pellis est magnifica. Tu es sanus et bene pastus.
