My boyfriend's father is dying today...It will be any minute

The closest relatives are at the hospital saying goodbye. I'll of course attend the wake and funeral, but it's not my place to be there when he goes. Hank was a great guy. 'When he went into the hospital they had to put a tube down his throat to keep him breathing, but as soon as the family got there they told the doctors to remove it and just give him oxygen. He didn't want to live on life support. We knew yesterday it was down to the wire-then we got the call to go to the hospital at 4 am. He seems to be handling it ok-but he could be in shock. I'll do my best to support him. Just before fathers day. It figuers. |

My family at Temair Luachra have been making cheese for quite a while, as I said in the profile on my extended property. The members of the group should come visit... |

My real house is easier to revamp

than this one. Why is wallpaper so tricky; first it goes up easy, but go to another room and what you did the first time doesn't seem to work exactly the same?
Oh well, it doesn't surprise me. Im re-doing my apt. so I've been busy. I want to be freed up during Imbolic. Just finished polyurethaning half my hard wood floors. Going to do the rest as quick and painless as possible. Yesterday I read up a little on Imbolic, thanks to Fen's links. When I'm done with the house I'll come back to the history. (Both my houses). |

I dont know anything about keeping the transcripts standing still long enough to read them in the chat room. I don't know anything about a chat room. Just another computer headache! |

Great Idea-The Writer's Bothy

I just joined the group. I stink at roleplay and creative slang or realistic historic knowledge. I can write as in grammer, but the rest is still new to me and probably will be for a couple years's! I just love history and archeology but I'm a little faint in the retension area. This may give me practical, usable info. to be able to role play. I can't post yet. I'm waiting for the first promotion. That usually takes a day or two. This is the first group I've joined in a long while. I'm a little excited. Something different. |

My property throughout Munster
|
Posted at 14:00 EST
|
I've bought a lot of property all in Munster for the Helvetti family to settle into. Regardless of the real conditions of the Tribe - in my story they have been in Ireland a long time, all in Munster, and all dependent on each other for necessaties.
They have married in with locals and behave as Irish as any other. This is what could have happened had some of the tribe made it this far. Or had some of the tribe migrated early on as I'm going to imagine.
My knowledge of the every day life is minimal at this point, but I'm reading a lot and am changing the home pages as I learn more. I'm hoping to have a working knowledge soon and the carve out a place for the characters in my family which I chose before I knew the history.
It's very amaturish at this point-but its evolving none the less. I wanted to live in Ireland but picked a Swedish name that never made it to Ireland. So I'll now try to re-invent history as I would like to see it happen. All my mistakes will be corrected as I go along. As a persona on my own, not really belonging to the area, I was left without much to develop. I'
m hoping to interact with neighbors in Role Play with my different characters. I didn't wish to take over Munster-but logic required that the tribe stick together. So now the Helvetti's have a life they only wished for back in their day.

The death card-not so /aevalle
|
Posted at 00:00 EST
|
Depends on 2 things. A: Is it upright B: What position of the layout does it fall in: past, present or future. I'm a good reader. Once I read the ring card for someone (marriage) and only once did I read the death card which in it's true meaning is in Reverse; The first got married (a confirmed bachelor who laughed at me)to a blond (Queen of hearts) and my very good friend Ralf who got the death card in reverse and jumped up screaming,"It's the death card!".
I had never got the ring card or the death card for any other people. Client #1 married a blond 2 years later and barely one year after Ralf's reading, he was murdered coming out of a club by a gang with babseball bats. He was so into his beleif of the cards and afterlife I can hear him in my inner ear now saying "tell them it's real." If I feel "cold" I won't read but if the client sends me psychic messages,(kinda like undercurants) I dont have to work at it. The words are not mine. They come from elsewhere,(probably the clients subconscious) and I'm impelled to try. But I always add the disclaimer that I am only an amatuer and the cards are a mirror shuffled by the client and chosen by the client to reveal what he already subconsciouly knows. How he handles it consciously is a different matter.
My readings have always been free, ususally part of a july 4th cookout, parade day, or memorial day. But I stopped for a while after Ralf died. When people see it they ususally try to schedule but that was back then. I just read for the first time in about four years. You need to know how to councel people who have gotten bad news and try to redirect them so they can be happy again, (after all, there's no such thing as perfect). And destiny??? Shares it's place with chance. As negative attracts positive. The laws of the universe are meant to work for us. The secret is to be willing and in my mind there is no greater truth than seek and yee shall find. But prepare first.
If you don't your faith is weak and you wouldn't know the truth if it pooped in your face. And then think about how this effects the people at large and not just yourself. Be moral, truthful, and above all learn to leave go of your ego. That's the door the devil comes knocking on.
Hope this adds clarity...
