Over the past few days, lot of effort has placed in fixing up the Pullo's place.

Grogan, one of my newer strong men has a eye for the young gals. He and two others went over to the Upper Aventine to plaster and paint the Pullo's newlywed residence. I was concerned for Eirene's safety so I asked Atia of the Julii for some help. She sent Merula to provide the necessary chaperone for Eirene. Clearly, although the place doesn't have any columns, Pullo could have found a good substitute for Grogan's head if he caught him even looking at Eirene. The old gargoyle Merula handled it well. So you see, she is good for other things besides providing water at necessary intervals.

It is almost complete! Here are the latest purchases. Eirene almost fainted with UPS (Ubian Parcel Services) showed up at the Insular Shack today.

The Brotherhood of Aventine Cloth Dyers were nice enough to purchase these toga pins for Pullo and Eirene. Hopefully they are not looking for protection after what happened to the poor baker….





Dr. Drillemusandfillemus thought this was a strange gift but realized that in the wrong hands, it could wring out more business for him.



Castor, Atia’s Slave saved a few denarii from time to time. He likes to bargain hard for household items and then tell Atia it cost more. He has quite a nest egg saved. He appreciates Legionary Pullo’s attention to Master Octavian. This couch is a token of his esteem.

Akbar from the Hindu street wanted to express his undying support for Pullo. Thanks to Pullo’s recommendation of a good doctor, Akbar has use of his arms again.
