A part of the exhibition is named The Destruction of Charleston in the Civil War.

The new film project Kon-Tiki has been developed by British Jeremy Thomas in cooperation with Thor Heyerdahl until Thor Heyerdahl died in 2002.

The new Kon-Tiki movie will be produced by Nordisk Film in cooperation with the British Recorded Picture Company. The total budget will be approx. 83 Norwegian kroner, and will become one of the most expensive films produced in Norway.

The Norwegian news-paper Aftenposten tells that it will two parallell versions of the film, one with English dialogue and one with Norwegian dialogue.

The wolves will not mate because they are taken away from their natural habitat and are put in cages. They are very monogamous, and it is not easy to organize new pairs.

The Canid Survival and Research Center close to Eureka, which is 32 km south-east of St. Louis close to the border of Mexico, has introduced a succesful method of breeding, and the first puppies are just four weeks old. They are growing and making noises. Mexican authorities are interested in the new method of breeding hoping it will increase the poor number of Mexican gray wolves.

The Mexican gray wolf (canis lupus baileyi)is a sub-species of the North-American gray wolf.
