A Drinking song Posted at 09:00 EST
Ho! Ho! Ho! to the bottle I go
To heal my heart and drown my woe.
Rain may fall and wind may blow,
And many miles be still to go,
But under a tall trie I will lie,
And let the clouds go sailing by!

Deep Roots Posted at 00:00 EST
Not all that is gold doth glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost.
The old that is strong does not wither,
and the deep roots are not touched by the frost.

A Journey in the dark. Posted at 22:00 EST
The world was fair, the mountains tall,
In Elder Days before the fall.
Of Mighty Kings in Nargothrond
And Gondolin, who was now beyond the Western Seas have passed away:
The world was fair in Durin's Day.

Where are the Oliphaunts? Posted at 12:00 EST
Grey as a mouse,
Big as a house,
Nose like a snake,
I make the earth shake,
As I tramp through the grass.

Walking Song Posted at 23:00 EST
Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate;
And though I oft have passed them by,
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the moon, East of the sun.

Galadriel Posted at 13:45 EST
In Dwimordene, in Lorien
Seldom have walked the feet of men,
Few mortal eyes have seen the light
That lies there ever, long and bright.
Galadriel! Galadriel!
Clear is the water of your well;
White is the star in your white hand;
Unmarred, unstained is leaf and land
In Dwimordene, in Lorien
More fair than thoughts of Mortal Men.

Contemplation Posted at 22:00 EST
Though here at journey's end I lie
in darkness buried deep,
beyond all towers strong and high,
beyond all mountains steep,
above all shadows rides the sun
and stars for ever dwell:
I will not say the day is done, nor bid the stars farewell.

A final salute to Ancient Worlds Posted at 21:15 EST
Out of doubt, out of dark to the day's rising.
I came singing in the sun, sword unsheathing.
To hope's end I rode and to the heart's breaking:
Now for wrath, now for ruin and a red nightfall!

A vision Posted at 17:00 EST
And it then seemed to him as in a dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a green country under a swift sunrise.

The Muster of Rohan Posted at 12:00 EST
From dark Dunharrow in the dim morning
with thane and captain rode Thengel's son:
to Edoras he came, the ancient halls
of the Mark-Wardens mist enshrouded;
golden timbers were in gloom mantled.
Farewell he bade to his free people,
hearth and high seat, and the hallowed places,
where long he had feasted ere the light faded.
Forth rode the king, fear behind him,
fate before him. Fealty kept he;
oaths he had taken, all fulfilled them.
Forth rode Theodan. Five nights and days east and onward rode the Eorlingas
through Folde and Fen march and the Firienwood,
six thousand spears to Sunlending,
Mundburg the mighty under Mindolluin,
Sea kings' city in the South kingdom
foe beleagured, fire encircled.
Doom drove them on. Darkness took them,
horse and horseman; hoof beats afar
sank into silence: so the songs tell us.
