And I LOVE it :)
Things on right now:
Trying to get the Daily Life group off the ground. Today I posted brodcast posts on city planning boards looking for board leaders and trying to get a sense for what kind of interest there is in the group. I look forward to this both as a sharing and learning exsperience. I like the idea of being able to learn about Roman daily life, Incan daily life and Athenian daily life all within the same group with basically the same group of people. I think its a broad and interesting scope with lots of room for bouncing around between boards.
Also I'm working on a website project for one of my groups, I'm currently gathering historical information and working on design. I need to get on the ball with this, I tend to code in flurries though. I won't touch a page for a day or two and then I'll glue myself to the chair for 5 hours and finish a good chunk of the site all in one go. Hopefully tomorrow will be a "big chunk" kind of day.
I'm also working with Mirjam Nebet to plan one of the two Sprinfest days. I'm very excited about being a part of Springfest, I hope that I can help make it a fun and exciting experience for Egyptians and foreigners alike :)
Let's see, what else... Hut-Sekhem! Duh! Also working on the Hut-Sekhem site and the storyline, as always. I've got a few big posts comming up, with some excitement so fun stuff there, as always. One heck of a nome I've got :)
What FUN! Wee! |

Daily Life Group Idea
|
Posted at 02:00 EST
|
I have an idea for a new group. One of my favorite groups over at AS was the WeaversGuild, I'd like to start something with the same idea as the WeaversGuild, a historical discussion of the daily life of many different cultures around the world from common foods and careers to toilets :) A board for each of our cities including historical information and modern comments? (What's that? Modern rural Egyptian irrigation systems are almost identical to their ancient counter parts? That sort of thing)
I'd be happy to head it up, though I don't know nearly as much about by neighbors has I do of my home city. Is anyone interested in helping?

Growing By Leaps and Bounds

It's funny sometimes, to watch an rp you started really take off. Things in Hut-Sekhem are going a completely different route than I original planned. That's not to say that it's a bad route, or to be honest that I had any certain route planned out. It's just neat to see things jump forward is all.
Now, if I don't get to writing my citizens are going to have my head! :) |

I love roleplaying, there's nothing better than watching a story unfold with great people to help it along. My citizen's rock. An extra jug of beer and 3 loaves of bread for you all! |

Why I'm not Pharaoh
|

Do you think it says something about me that while reading over the past RP posts in The Golden Horus I find myself thinking, "But wait! I'm sure if Pharaoh and the King of Meroe just sat down and TALKED for a while we'd be able to avoid this whole war thing..."
THIS my friends, is why I'm not playing a pharaoh ;) |

Happiness

Before I begin anew I must say, on this day, my joy knows no bounds. I can not express how happy I am to have Ancient Sites back.
... I nearly cried when I saw my little scroll flapping letting me know I had a new message.
I am so happy.
Now, let the fun start anew. |
