Celtia's Samhain Posted at 18:01 EST
well, another city festival under my belt! and I think I let the danged belt out a couple of notches cos of all the food I ate. and I won't even mention the drinks. *wince* though, thank the gods, I didn't end up with a hangover once. *proud look*

Let's see...everything was great for Samhain...from the cool house decorations to the tug-of-war to the lighting of the fire.

I still have that nutty word "Mandywana" in my head from the Bowl-A-Score Boogie game. And "breasting" for Brigantes just took the cake!! *lol* And some of the other guesses were classic as well ... especially dear Toby's...who was a jolly fellow, just as in the Tribond game in Babylon. :)

Loved the tarot readings, and the barrow tour (I'm still trying to get the cobwebs out of my hair -- its all Vort's fault!!!). And I don't think I'll be eating turnips for a LONG while!

Ahhh....a wonderful time (even if our beloved com panel went down right when the word game started -- eek!). I do so look forward to next year's celebration. I still have some words left that weren't played in the Bowl-A-Score Boogie *wicked grin*....think I'll save them.

And now on to other things...the wheel turning and a new year beginning. What is past is past, there is only now, and more "nows" to come. :)

Mehregan Memories Posted at 20:33 EST
and now I'm back in my little home in Celtia, which I've decorated for Samhain. :)

I had a wonderful time amongst the festival celebrants. The games, the dancing, the food and drink, the company....all most fab and fun! I still chuckle recalling some of the guesses in the Tribond game. And I'm hoping Sankh's boo-boo is healing rapidly. *lol* Boy, when Vee starts flinging gifts around I recommend 'stop, drop and roll'. hehe...

Next year's Festival should be grand as well...and I've an idea that involves lime jello, an arena, and cheerleaders *grin* ... Vee knows what I'm talking about. But, we're gonna keep it secret for now. And no bribes are gonna make us talk!

Memorable Moments:
~Victoria sneaking behind my back asking for the answer in Tribond
~Frontinus and Sankh battling it out to win the Tribond game
~Vort's crash and burn landings in the Flying Carpet race
~jojo blushing at the award's ceremony (awww...he was so cute!)
~Toby's fine sense of humor and delayed answers in Tribond *s*
~Vee running around like a maniac trying to cover all the bases. A definite home run for her! She's a trooper even if she did almost knock me out with all those gold coins falling out of the sky! :)
~learning to curse in Persian
~my first tastes of kash and irep (gods! I'm being corrupted!!)
~Leah stuck in the cave. I'm sure she's already made it to the nail salon for a manicure.
~dancing with Sankh...he's quite the two-stepper no matter what he says!

ahhh...Mehregan....just wait till next year!

Mehregan Festival Posted at 23:14 EST
well, well...how could I know how nutty it would be the first day of Babylon's Mehregan Festival? *laughs*

crazy (yes! crazy!) folk flying around in carpets and other assorted flying vehicles! Vort crash landing everywhere (wonders how his real life driving skills are? *grin*; hope he uses those band-aids I gave him). Jojo sending up the meanie dragon to hamper our progress. those tipsy guys (hmm...think they were from Egypt) with their endlessly full pitchers. and, ooooo!, the red-haired fury with the really bomb plane! gotta watch out for her, that's for sure! :)

then its over to the Kash Bowl and the entire gang is recuperating. some tonic "Hildebeest's Famous Tonic" knocks me for a loop. gods, I'm such a lightweight!

The Bazaar is hopping. There's a whole feast of food and drink laid out. The Events schedule blows your mind.

and this is just the first day of Mehregan! *laughs* If I survive the weekend I want Vee to send my little tush back to my little home here in Celtia and put me in bed to sleep for a few days so I can recover. *grin*
