What a week!

I can't believe how busy things have been this past week. There has been a lot of activity, which is great!
The Newsletter went out and so far all positive responses (phew).
There has been an Admin reshuffle. We now have Tanaquil, Maia, Meima and Julia as Editors. Tetisheri has joined the ranks of Authors.
We have had some exciting developments. We want to as a Group, form a Webring with other Members about Women in Antiquity. The thread Feminalia has been set up at the Agora in Athens, and Julia Manach has taken a HUGE task on her shoulders. Julia is doing a fantastic job and the reponse so far is great!
Also, we hope to be collaborating with Arachnes Web.

VITA FEMINAE ANTIQUA
NEWSLETTER
ISSUE I
OCTOBER 2003
Hello fellow Members,
Welcome to the first issue of the VFA Newsletter. I hope to be able to write a newsletter every 2-3 months, time permitting. Now is the time for all you frustrated “journalists” out there to submit articles!
News
We now have a total of 50 members! Thank you everyone for joining and participating too!
New Trivia Thread
VFA now has a trivia thread . The person who answered the previous question correctly sets the next question. At present we have had women related questions set, but there will be a general knowledge and a specific history quiz threads set up shortly. Remember, the Quizzes only work if people participate!
New Admin Member
We have a new Author, Neima Nebet.
Role-play Boards
VFA is listed as a Role-play Group. We have no role-play boards going! A Discussion topic has been started (some time ago!) so that Members can discuss what they want as a board. So, can members start making suggestions? Lets get a good discussion going.
Short Story Board
Not everyone likes to participate in Role-play, as you have to be committed. RL at times makes it difficult for some. A short story board would enable members who have a literary flare but are short on time, to write and submit their work. I am always amazed at what brilliant writers there are out there in AW. I know of one published Author who is a member of AW. Members can post as many short stories as they wish. Who knows, it could be the kickstart to you writing that novel you promised yourself you would write one dayJ
Absence of Leave
I am off to NOLA for the Convention. I will be away 27th October until 11th November. I hope to have Internet access whilst away, but it will be erratic. Tanaquil Sergius, Neima Nebet and Yngsvldr have bravely “volunteered” to keep an eye on things at VFA. They will deal with any questions or problems you may have concerning VFA.
Volunteers Needed!
We need some more Members who will be prepared to have some editorial rights at the Group. If you are interested in an “Editorial” position at the group, please email me at: - justinacassius2003@yahoo.co.uk
That’s all folks!
