As the platform slows down

and comes to a stop, the travelers did not know they were never in any danger... the speed that they seemed to experience was merely an illusion. They now find themselves on the level above the chamber and are still blinded by THE LIGHT.

They all step off the platform of the altar and walk into THE LIGHT surrounding all of them. It is warm and comforting. They feel safe.

THE LIGHT diminishes to the point where they can see its form. It is a woman, not a creature. Features are starting to appear and she speaks.

"You have made the right choice. You have freed yourself as well as all of us. Now you can learn the truth about this cave and about all the creatures that you have encountered and those that you never did. Follow me."

The group follows the woman to an exit so they can breath some fresh air. They are at a top of a mountain. Looking down, they can see their village. They all look & a feeling of nostalgia comes over them. They cannot wait to be back in their everyday lives, they have had enough of adventure for the moment.

"A long time ago, there was another group that happen to find this cave. They were not great travelers, they were simple individuals that had a curious mind. There was a legend amongst their tribe of a Forbidden Cave whose ancestors were sworn to protect. Only the elders were allowed within this cave as others would be lost for all time. It was said that this cave was the most beautiful and peaceful place in this world. These stories intrigues the innocent group even with the warning of their elders. They only assumed it was too scare them away, how can such a place be dangerous. They decided to defy their traditions and they stepped into the cave. They soon found out that they could not leave and that they were alone in this paradise. It was filled with flowers, food & riches. They lived there for many years until some wanted to take control of the group, some wanted to be left alone and the rest no longer knew who to follow. Unlike you, they had no guide & fear set in.

They started to fight & the group was devided. This was no longer paradise and they wanted to go back home. They were divided, their friendships destroyed. And then, one of the leaders took the life of another. At that point, everything changed. All that was pure, beautiful & precious dissapeared.

Everything became dark & damp, there was no life, no joy, no beauty, no more flowers or riches. The water turned mirky, the temperature dropped, there was no more light. THe blood still stained the murderer's hands as it did not want to wash off. This was his constant reminder of what he had destroyed. He was not the only one responsible, but after bloodshead there was no turning back.

After a while, they decided to explore the cave to find a way out. They went their seperate ways, and spent countless months searching."

As they are intrigued with the story, the woman (THE LIGHT) brings them to a vaste platform on the mountain where refreshments await them. It is adorned with flowers of every color as well as a fresh water spring.

"Before I continue, are there any questions?"

As the traveler's patience wear thin

the altar starts to move & the parchemin reappears. The voice reads as the new words are written.

"You have chosen YOUR SACRIFICE.
You BELIEVE that this shall be YOUR ANSWER.
YOU have each decided to SACRIFICE YOURSELF as ONE.
This is the END. There is no turning back.
May the GODS be with YOU."

As the Parchemin dissapears, so does the voice and the altar continues to move upwards. The ceiling of the room opens enough for the size of the altar. The travelers seem to be frightened as to what they do not understand. Their journey has ended. The sacrifice made. They shall know the truth.

As they approach the top, they are blinded by a light... or we could say THE LIGHT that is waiting for them. They have passed the TEST and they have survived. They have won their freedom. They will now find out the mystery behind the forbidden cave as well as who was the LIGHT.

Out of nowhere... *this is not the LIGHT*

a parchemin appears. A voice read the text out loud that is being written by an invisible being as it seems. The following questions are heard and read.:

"Has your decision on your sacrifice been made?
Are you certain this is what you wish to do?
Does EVERYONE AGREE WITHOUT A BOUBT?
Do you have FAITH that YOU will LIVE?
For ONE has to BELIEVE in a HIGHER POWER than HIM

As you each agree by giving your answers outloud one by one to the previous questions, you are sacrificing yourself. Once all the answers have been given, this shall be the END OF YOUR JOURNEY.

As the group steps up

one by one to the altar, the light starts to dim slowly.

Tha altar might be moving a bit and some are scared, but they have not faced the end... but they are almost there.

Something is glowing

within the message.
Some words appear bigger and those are the ones that are glowing.
What could this mean?
It glows the same way the LIGHT does.
Could the LIGHT be giving a CLUE?
What could it be?
A sacrifice must be made, although the ALTAR is so big.
The entire group could fit on it.
What could this mean?
Will they figure it out?

A Message appears above the altar

"You have reached the END of your JOURNEY.
There is only ONE WAY to your FREEDOM.
A SACRIFICE must be made,
But it must be ONE I desire.
Find out which ONE I seek.
Condemn ONE and Save YOURSELF.
But if YOU sacrifice the wrong ONE,
You shall have to try again.
There is only ONE choice.
If you refuse to choose,
You shall never leave this chamber.
When YOU have chosen,
Place the SACRFICE on the ALTAR."

entered the secret chamber, the entrance closes. They still do not know that they are unable to get out from this chamber now. That Marty character seems to understand the LIGHT's message well even if there are still a few answers missing. And Neima is not wrong about the sacrifice either. This should prove interesting.

How will they react to the next event???

CHASM NEWS FLASH

The travelers have made it through so many obstacles, yet they have not found a way out. The mysterious LIGHT has been a guide to them, although they do not know where it comes from or when it will reappear. The two last times they have seen it, it spoke to them, helping & warning them.

FINAL CHAPTER - THE MYSTERY OF THE FORBIDDEN CAVE

This is the final test for the traveler. They must enter the secret chamber and pass the test to know the truth about the cave, the LIGHT and all the other strange creatures they have encountered.

Who could they possibly represent?

What awaits them in the secret chamber with the altar?

Will they have to make a sacrifice? and if so, who shall it be?

Could there be another answer?

And what of the words and clues of the LIGHT?

What could it possibly mean?

They shall have to be patient and think as a group, as if they were one. They must all agree on the answer. They must also remember who they are as well as how different they are, yet they are one.

As Marty speaks his words

the group comes to a halt as the LIGHT reappears in front of the entire group. It has grown in mass once more. The travelers grateful to see the LIGHT once more, starts asking questions. The LIGHT interrupts them and speaks.

"As I have warned you once before,
I shall warn you again.
You are to be put to the test.
Once you enter the secret chamber,
there will be no turning back.
This is were your fate shall be decided.

Remember the words I spoke last time,
within it lies the answer.
The answer must be made by all,
none can be excluded.
To fail the test is a fate worst than death.
To pass; truth and freedom shall be yours.

Remember your journey, remember who you are,
remember how you started and where you are now.
You have grown in more ways than one.
Where WE have failed, YOU can succeed.
The most obvious is not always the answer as there are always more than one choice.
RESPECT and you shall LEARN.

I have given you all the clues I can,
I cannot give you the answer,
as I cannot chose in your place.
My fate was decided as were the others.
You shall never be alone.
Learn from this journey."

As the LIGHT finishes to speak, it grows once more into a familiar shape. That of a PERSON before it vanishes again. The LIGHT will no longer come to there aid. The travelers are on there own, they have no choice to go foreward... what awaits them in the secret chamber? Why would there be an altar? if not for a sacrifice...
