As the traveler's patience wear thin

the altar starts to move & the parchemin reappears. The voice reads as the new words are written.

"You have chosen YOUR SACRIFICE.
You BELIEVE that this shall be YOUR ANSWER.
YOU have each decided to SACRIFICE YOURSELF as ONE.
This is the END. There is no turning back.
May the GODS be with YOU."

As the Parchemin dissapears, so does the voice and the altar continues to move upwards. The ceiling of the room opens enough for the size of the altar. The travelers seem to be frightened as to what they do not understand. Their journey has ended. The sacrifice made. They shall know the truth.

As they approach the top, they are blinded by a light... or we could say THE LIGHT that is waiting for them. They have passed the TEST and they have survived. They have won their freedom. They will now find out the mystery behind the forbidden cave as well as who was the LIGHT.

Out of nowhere... *this is not the LIGHT*

a parchemin appears. A voice read the text out loud that is being written by an invisible being as it seems. The following questions are heard and read.:

"Has your decision on your sacrifice been made?
Are you certain this is what you wish to do?
Does EVERYONE AGREE WITHOUT A BOUBT?
Do you have FAITH that YOU will LIVE?
For ONE has to BELIEVE in a HIGHER POWER than HIM

As you each agree by giving your answers outloud one by one to the previous questions, you are sacrificing yourself. Once all the answers have been given, this shall be the END OF YOUR JOURNEY.

one by one to the altar, the light starts to dim slowly.

Tha altar might be moving a bit and some are scared, but they have not faced the end... but they are almost there.

Something is glowing

Some words appear bigger and those are the ones that are glowing.
What could this mean?
It glows the same way the LIGHT does.
Could the LIGHT be giving a CLUE?
What could it be?
A sacrifice must be made, although the ALTAR is so big.
The entire group could fit on it.
What could this mean?
Will they figure it out?

A Message appears above the altar

"You have reached the END of your JOURNEY.
There is only ONE WAY to your FREEDOM.
A SACRIFICE must be made,
But it must be ONE I desire.
Find out which ONE I seek.
Condemn ONE and Save YOURSELF.
But if YOU sacrifice the wrong ONE,
You shall have to try again.
There is only ONE choice.
If you refuse to choose,
You shall never leave this chamber.
When YOU have chosen,
Place the SACRFICE on the ALTAR."

entered the secret chamber, the entrance closes. They still do not know that they are unable to get out from this chamber now. That Marty character seems to understand the LIGHT's message well even if there are still a few answers missing. And Neima is not wrong about the sacrifice either. This should prove interesting.

How will they react to the next event???

The travelers have made it through so many obstacles, yet they have not found a way out. The mysterious LIGHT has been a guide to them, although they do not know where it comes from or when it will reappear. The two last times they have seen it, it spoke to them, helping & warning them.

FINAL CHAPTER - THE MYSTERY OF THE FORBIDDEN CAVE

This is the final test for the traveler. They must enter the secret chamber and pass the test to know the truth about the cave, the LIGHT and all the other strange creatures they have encountered.

Who could they possibly represent?

What awaits them in the secret chamber with the altar?

Will they have to make a sacrifice? and if so, who shall it be?

Could there be another answer?

And what of the words and clues of the LIGHT?

What could it possibly mean?

They shall have to be patient and think as a group, as if they were one. They must all agree on the answer. They must also remember who they are as well as how different they are, yet they are one.

As Marty speaks his words

the group comes to a halt as the LIGHT reappears in front of the entire group. It has grown in mass once more. The travelers grateful to see the LIGHT once more, starts asking questions. The LIGHT interrupts them and speaks.

"As I have warned you once before,
I shall warn you again.
You are to be put to the test.
Once you enter the secret chamber,
there will be no turning back.
This is were your fate shall be decided.

Remember the words I spoke last time,
within it lies the answer.
The answer must be made by all,
none can be excluded.
To fail the test is a fate worst than death.
To pass; truth and freedom shall be yours.

Remember your journey, remember who you are,
remember how you started and where you are now.
You have grown in more ways than one.
Where WE have failed, YOU can succeed.
The most obvious is not always the answer as there are always more than one choice.
RESPECT and you shall LEARN.

I have given you all the clues I can,
I cannot give you the answer,
as I cannot chose in your place.
My fate was decided as were the others.
You shall never be alone.
Learn from this journey."

As the LIGHT finishes to speak, it grows once more into a familiar shape. That of a PERSON before it vanishes again. The LIGHT will no longer come to there aid. The travelers are on there own, they have no choice to go foreward... what awaits them in the secret chamber? Why would there be an altar? if not for a sacrifice...

Message from the LIGHT

As the group of travelers expands with the new arrivals, they are more confident that with numbers they shall triumph. The composition of the group is one that is strange, as they do not seem to realize the diversity amongst themselves.
The newest seems to be a bit confused, she has lived within this caves for months and has never seen the light... what could the reason be???
As they continue, the other members try to fill her in concerning their adventure within the Forbidden Cave.
The short version would be that a group of friends from a small village ventured into the cave. They were simply playing on the beach and enjoying their lives. Although terrified when the entrance suddenly appeared, they did not want to step in until they were fully prepared with food, water, torches... once stacked with provisions, they took the leap. From that moment they have experienced many strange situation. The light appeared to them for the first time when they stoped to eat and rest. They had no idea if it was a friend or foe, and even now they still have doubts. What is to say this is not a trap, although the light has never given them any reason to doubt it. The travelers have found some clues along the way such as cave drawings, runes, stones, a key, statues... as well as encounters with snakes, dragons, crocodiles and at some point even a little green creature that was brought on by Hallucinations. Other members have joined the original group as they ahv found themselves roaming the different passageways. There are different faiths, culture, beliefs amongst them, but their unified goal is to solve the mystery in the hopes to find their way out. There are priestesses, magician, faeries and even a vampire. This has to be the oddest group to have ever journeyed through the cave and perhaps the first to solve the mystery.
Another clue is about to be given. Shall they be able to figure out the meaning??? As the group approaches the LIGHT they in the distance, they feel reassured that it has not abandoned them, although it seems to have grown in mass again.
I am hovering above a small whole in the rock that might not be seen if one does not pay attention to their step.
And if one had the misfortune of breaking this clue, they might be trapped forever in these endless tunnels that seem to never end.
There is a clay tablet underneath me that was written a long time ago in this cave by another group of travelers.
The writing is cuneiformed based.
Hoping that some have a higher intellect, they shalll be able to read it and understand the message.
The tablet has been warn out by the climat of the cave, but one can still decipher it.
It says:
"Those who respect the gods, shall have no fear.
As they are never alone, they shall find their way.
The answer is not at the end, but in the journey.
Once the lesson learned, they will know the truth."
A member in the group holds the tablet as the LIGHT guided them to the clue. What is the meaning of those words and is this the answer to the mystery? Could they be nearing the end. The travelers question the LIGHT as to the message and for the first time they are standing still, not believing what is happening. The LIGHT that has grown in mass; now takes a form, although difficult to make out seem to represent a human being. And it speaks:
"I am an entity.
I once lived in your past.
I cannot solve the mystery for you.
I am only here to help and guide you.
You must find the answers yourself.
You must also pass the test.
These words will guide you to the truth.
Remember that none have solved the mystery.
I hope that you shall be the first.
Your futures are not the only that depends on your success.
Remember that I am always here watching."
The LIGHT dissapears again and the group does not know what to make out of the situation.
