This journal includes Hymns to the Gods of the Two Lands, philosophical thoughts, & intrigues of the day. Seti is well known, amidst his family, for being true to his Ptolemaic blood. He is devoutly pious unto the Gods-especially unto the god Seth which is fitting since he is a Priest of Set, although the family does not boast of this fact, due to disfavor the God fell into after the Hyksos expulsion. Seti is also known as a rather extreme hedonist. Additionally, he is well known for his historical and academic pursuits. Since arriving at Alexandria, he has made the Library his second home.

Even Angels die
Posted at 18:00 EST
May the Gods be kind to you.
Sister, I watched
your pyre
Now only
Recollections
always gray
like social gravel
songs forgotten
invocations of the dead
the strangest of all
possible necromancies.
I watched the sunlight
of this tight,wound day
cracked, racked,
ripped open,
taunt lines
flavored cobalt blue,
a sinister festival
of mortal surprise
these rancid ores
melted my eyes
into an anxious
pool below.
How many times
have I thought of you
sweet sister, poems
scripted by sadness
we all know,
married to shadow,
But now we sing different
now we roam in separate packs
hunters of ineffable prey
stalking these insane dawns.
There are no words now
just peeled paintings
outdated alchemies
of the distant age.
[How easy we forget.]
There is nothing more
for me to do
but light a candle
I will say a soft prayer,
pour a libation for you
I will remember you
& mountain rain.
