Probably not a proper Japanese home color, this purplish-magenta that nicely shows off the green and blue avatar (which is the stock Oriental male AW graphic painted in with Photoshop) and the same two-color text, but something that would arrest the eye as members and visitors peruse yet another persona here at AncientWorlds.
Then again, I have no experience in Japanese home design.
I do havea nice volume that overviews Japanese architecture. Detailing complex roof designs is that book's forte', in addition to numerous temples and other buildings. Certainly one of the best books I've seen on the subject.
But what of interior design? Everything is usually very simple and wooden, with mats and brush paintings and ...
