Ryoanji Temple

If you have recently installed Leopard on a Macintosh computer, take a look at the new desktop art that Apple provided. One of the scenes is the Zen rock garden of Ryoanji Temple.
Viewing the below YouTube video of one person's visit, there is more to the temple than just some raked sand and rock piles in the Apple image:
Fujimi is a plastic model kit company in Japan. Amongst the usual cars, airplanes, ships and tank kits like everyone else seems to make, Fujimi has an excellent line of temples and castles, in various scales.
One of these is the Kinkakuji Temple in 1/100th scale. (An earlier version is in 1/150th scale with simulated gold on certain parts and is increasingly more difficult to locate due to the new version having just been released.) My homesite's Entrance graphic is of this temple.
Kinkakuji Temple is located in Raku-hoku, the northern district of Kyoto. I have yet to determine if my persona lives in similar or if something more ostentatious is his style.
