Cahair Cean Catha is the stronghold of Cathal of the Clan Cumhaill in the providence of Laigin. a descendant of the legendary Fianna leader, Fionn MacCumhaill, he is one among leaders of the Fianna the historical warband of Ancient Ireland. To the west, along the rifada road you will find several of the bailies that make up the clients of Cathal, as well as the Dunn Seannachaidh, a stronghold of Cathal's cousin Eoghain another of Fionn's warrior stock.
