Welcome to my Gortia Sacros (sacred enclosure, in Gaulish) In the middle of the temenos or sacred enclosure stands a fanum, a Gallo-Roman temple.

This reconstructed temple is from the Archéodrome, Beaune, France. It shows the typical construction with a tall, inner cella and an outer portico, most probably used for processional rites derived from La Tène practices and fused onto Roman-derived religions practices to create the Gallo-Roman fusion.
