The noted Maya expert and environmental activist, Dr. Richard Hansen. President of the Foundation for Anthropological Studies and Environmental Science (FARES) and the leader of archaeological conservation in Guatemala backed by the Global Heritage Fund (GHF). Dr. Hansen will discuss his work with the Mirador Basin, historical home of the ancient Maya. Dr. Richard Hansen,President of the Foundation for Anthropological Studies and Environmental Science (FARES) and the leader of Archaeological conservation in Guatemala backed by the Global Heritage Fund (GHF), Dr. Hansen is not only a noted expert in Maya history, culture, and anthropology, but works world-wide in drawing support for preservation of The Mirador Basin. He was also a consultant to Mel Gibson in the making of the film "Apocalypto".
