My Sacred Shrine is for my mythological and academic pursuits.

Here you will find the books I have written as well as the books I have acquired for my collection from other citizens. Please feel free to browse!

Here you will also find a collection of post that I have made to mythological and academic boards.

My particular mythological interests in the Ancient Celtic World are the Tuatha de Danaan and the Knight of the Red Branch.

I am also interested in everything that could be said "nordic", or "northern cultures" of the ancient world, Wales, french Bretagne, Normandie and Ardennes (I am French myself), Vikings, etc. Globally, Classic and Medieval histories of Europe.

I am simplifying, really. I am fond of any type of incarnation of Mythology, Rituals, Sociology, Anthropology, and Philosophy, including politics. I love native american legends and tales, and live among them right now. This gives me pride and pleasure, mixed with a strange feeling of being close to the land, close to the ocean, close to the Mother as a whole.

I am in love with fantasy, sword and sorcery, since I am eleven years old, when I put for the first time ever my eyes on a twenty sided dice to play... Dungeons and Dragons. Years passed, sharing with me their load of tragedies and wonders, but in the end, if something didn't change, that is that: I am a roleplayer, and I love roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, Stormbringer, Star Wars and many many others.

Concerning authors of Fantasy, I like Fritz Leiber and Robert E. Howard (Conan) of course, that I often call the Ancients. I also love John Reuel Ronald Tolkien's writings, that I find ununsually charged with emanations of Numen (Sacred), basic construction bricks (archetypes) of Myth. I like Michael Moorcock, author of the Elric of Melnibone Saga, with the black blade, Stormbringer. I like his baroque cliches and sense of humour (great irony in his lines!), very much from the 60's and 70's.

Your next question will certainly be... do I write myself? Yes. I am in the process of describing a Sword and Sorcery world of my own making, the Enrill. For the moment, after some five years of notes and experimentations, I use the rules of D&D to describe this world, and then intend to test it through roleplaying game sessions. When everything will be ready, I will be able to come back to my ideas of Saga, and perhaps be a proud holder of Tolkien's Legacy... or only one among so many junk fantasy authors, soon forgotten, and never really brilliant. Who really knows?

Anyway, perhaps one day at AncientWorlds you will be able to give your opinion about my creations. You can wait by criticizing my multiple answers and verses in various discussions, to begin with. *S*
