I'm sorry for the mess, truly I am. My torch is no longer locked away... yet the ornamental sword my father gave me was lost en route to the new athens. I should have never asked Hermes to help me move in, he had a shifty look in his eye when he descended from Olympus. You see, I was offering general prayers and other gifts to the gods for a safe move from AS when it was ripped out from beneath my feet. I heard a deep voice behind me, and I turned around. I must say, Hermes is far more muscular than the other artisans give him credit for. At any rate, he said the Olympians were pleased with me, and that I would eventually have a new home. Hermes, though, was also the patron of theives, which I forgot. Maybe I should have trusted him a little less.
Scallion! So that's where you've got to! I left your food by the kitchen, but you're never in too much of a hurry to eat, anyway. Scallion, please address our esteemed company. *to guests* This is my dear tabby cat Scallion. He's the best little furball I could ever ask for. *Scallion growls* Sorry! *Scallion licks paw* (Sigh)
Don't mind the servant up on the top floor, Ennubi. I won him in a game against a river god, and although I offered the poor efreet freedom, he would have nothing to do with it. He's still haunting my halls and doing odd jobs when he thinks I'm not looking. Once I even caught him tending my garden. He turned my white roses red and black, but at least he was trying!
Am I boring you? I'm sorry... I'm a terrible hostess. If you'd like, take a dip in the waters of my reflecting pool. I must say that Scallion here likes it a great deal!
