Welcome to the vine-roofed terrace overlooking Petra's main street.
Here I conduct my social activities at AncientWorlds and at Rome. You can leave me a message on my personal message board or take a look at my friends list. Soon you will be able to check my calendar of events as well.
The terrace was constructed from the following elements:
The background is Ian Browning's reconstruciton of Petra's main street, based on Bachmann's plan. Ian Browning, Petra (Parkridge, NJ: Noyes, 1973) p. 142
The vine trellis is from Pompeii. The pillars are from the upper section of the Khazenh Faroun, a monument in Petra. The mosaic floor is from Al-Mukhayat, Jordan.
Do you recoginze everyone here? If not, Malichus, my Chamberlian, will perform the introductions while I pour the wine.
