The Villa Urbana of Lucilia Lucretius -- [Entrance ] [Courtyard ] [Library ] [Study ]

Well, well, well... So you wanna know my academic pursuits?

Once upon a time, and that was long time ago indeed, I studied Classical Philology. Later I even worked as a Latin teacher at local university. My special interests laid in Roman political poetry, but as you probably know only too well - students can have only so many courses on Horace and Propertius, and so it happened that I ended up teaching Roman historians. That is life.

Many would think that I was a traitor to leave all that behind and have a career of an educational administrator. More believe that it was right thing to do as there is less and less need for Latin teachers in this fast developing world. I can only tell you that my colleagues back at the department still speak to me. Even more so, they still include me in their most fantastic projects, for what I am deeply grateful.

Our last great job was to publish a new updated and largest ever Latin-Estonian Dictionary that had 1152 pages and 31 000 entries in it. Sure I didn't do much, just the entries between prologus and revereor, but I am glad they didn't leave me out entirely.
