To sleep...perchance to dream...
elcome to the sacred places I tread, the chthonian thresholds I cross for Otherworldly Imbas, Truth and the secrets of the Skies.
According to the Utraicecht Becc, Imbas is one of the "three things which dignify the dignities of a poet." To achieve Imbas, a fili would perform certain sense deprivation techniques, such as wrapping himself in a cowhide, chewing raw meat, fasting by a graveside, living by the edge of things as a hermit, or confining himself to a darkend room until he is in a wigged out Otherworldly altered state, during which he is able to tap into the past and the future, "see" and "speak" Truth, and generate inspired poetry.
