In The Bedroom
These are my private apartments. Pomponia never comes in here so I think we are safe from another one of her tricks to vex me.
Here is where I do my intimate entertaining of my very special friends. I know what the gossips say, that I choose my lovers by number rather than name.
Senator Falco
That is an exaggeration to say the least. I know all of their names. Let me see if I can recall some of the more interesting ones. Well, I suppose we must start with Senator Falco. He was loaded to the gills and loved me very much. I loved all the things he could afford me. Jewels, slaves, and this fine house just to name a few. He was good to me and I am thankful for his attentions. After Falco died spent a lot of time at the Flavian Ampetheater and lost myself in the games. Naturally my eye fell upon two of the stars of the games, Baca "The Beast of Germania" and Flosculus "The Bloody".

Well, it was no time at all before I got to know the boys and invited them to my villa. The three of us enjoy playing all sorts of games such as 'capture the barbarian queen' and 'three's company'. They fit my mood at the time and to this day I still see them from time to time. After the 'Beast' and 'Bloody' came the ever charmingly oily Septimus Felix.
Ready for the Feast
Septimus. He was divine in the bedroom but a complete flop socially. Always working a shady scam and usually one step ahead of the police. He was fun while it lasted. When I saw that it had no future outside of this room I cut him loose. He went mad and kidnapped me and tried to take me off to Egypt. Now he is in prison awaiting trail in Pompeii.
Dinner for Two
After Septimus came Sextus Manlius. Well he wasn't really a lover per say, more like the man that got away. Well, I don't want to think about that now. I'll think about that tomorrow.
While I was getting over Sextus met the most marvelous man I have ever known. His name is Marcus Flaccus Valerius.
LORD VALARIVS
He treats me like a goddess and showers me with gifts of the most extravagant nature. As a lover he is tireless and when he is spent he hungers for more of the same. He is by far the best of the lot, so far. I must be off to the theater now for rehearsals. But, please, stay as long as you like and feel free to call Pomponia if you desire anything, or any of the other slaves, Macro, Titus, Apollonius, or Demetrius. And tell me when next we meet if Pomponia smelled of my perfume
