Welcome
Between the Rivers: Religion in Ancient Mesopotamia
This group is dedicated to discussing the religious beliefs of the ancient peoples who lived in Mesopotamia and Persia.

Nars were minstrels and a key part in the growth and development of Sumerian literature. Some may have gone to the temples to oversee compositions, oversee singers and musicians and conduct the cult litergies. Others may have gone a different route and found themselves in the palaces in order to train and instruct singers and entertainers.
