Senators are those that have held at least the office of Quaestor or Tribune of the Plebs.
Senators were the highest class in ancient Rome. They were the nobility, the sons of the mightiest Romans, even though they were not always the richest of Romans. Both patricians and plebeians could be Senators.

Ex-Aediles have SI of 2
Ex-Quaestors have SI of 1
Ex-Tribunes have SI of 1
