Theudokuntho.jpg

This is the period which saw the Germanic world make contact with the world of Rome and Greece and thus emerge into recorded history. From their first encounters with Julius Caesar, through the conquest of western Germania and the great wars against the Romans under Arminius and Maroboduus and up to the long Marcomannic Wars - this period saw the first great dramas of the early Germanic peoples.

Theudokuntho also invites you to visit our sister group over in Celtia. Maruadiat es Gaul (formely named Cilipied Celtia - Gaul) is a similar group devoted to our neighbours, rivals, trading partners and occasional enemies, the Gauls west of the Rhine. We aren't saying we really like them, but they have our grudging respect.
