Welcome to our new library in Hellas! We'll be opening soon! If you are interested
in being the Chief Librarian for a board topic (i.e., Sciences, Literature,
etc.), please contact one of the Directors.
We hope to feature a library section each month and should have patron
and admin plaques soon.

EasyBib: the bibliography maker.
Mission: to create an extensive and comprehensive
bibliographic and research resource for the history of Greece.
Structure: The Athenaeum follows, for the most part,
the Dewey Decimal System of categorization for our topics. Each section
has a desk thread for general inquiries by patrons and where patrons
can post book reviews. Suggestions for the library can be posted at
the Front Desk.
Administration:
- Directors - oversee the library as a whole
- Custodian - assists the Directors
- Chief Librarians - oversee their respective
section boards
- Librarians - work with the Chief Librarians
to develop their sections
Guidelines
- To
keep our library consistent in its style and format, please follow the
guidelines below.
- Since we have
many boards, we are allowing print resources to be combined into the
same thread as web resources.
- Please use the
word "Web" as the first word in any post referencing a website so they
are easily located (ensure the link opens in a new window by including
"target=_new" or "target=_blank" in the url html).
- The main page
of the Athenaeum has a handy widget for formatting your reference.
- The
subject of the post should be the title of the work.
- The body of
the post should include the citation and an optional brief commentary.
- If you feel
a reference belongs in more than one section, feel free to crosspost with
clickable links in both posts.
- Please
only include one reference per post.
