In 1995, during the early days of the Internet, S.P.Q.R. was launched on Time Warner's website, Pathfinder. The game attracted ancient history enthusiats because its setting and story take place in Ancient Rome.

S.P.Q.R. was later made into a CD ROM game in 1997 and enjoyed an 6 year tenure until it was taken offline for business reasons.
