"Daughter of Hathor": Sithathor is a common but beautiful name. Hathor is the archetypal feminine deity par excellence in Ancient Egypt. She is a goddess of song and drunkenness, of love and beauty, of midwifery and birth, of the western horizon and blessed death. She is goddess of the eastern desert and revered in the copper and turquoise mines of the Sinai. One famous Sithathor was the daughter of Senwosret II and probably a queen of Senwosret III, two rulers of the Middle Kingdom's Twelfth Dynasty.
