A Decorating Extravaganza Sponsored by Rome's DOMUS DEPOT group: the home for everything decorative for Rome!

From now until the climax of Saturnalia on December 23, Domus Depot is happily sponsoring a contest to mix decorating for the holidays with our newest Roman 'hoods. The contest, and prizes, are open to anyone living in a Roman 'hood anywhere in the vast reaches of the Empire. If you've bought a palace or a simple domus in any part of Rome, sign up for gold, glory, and nifty plaques (like you needed more?) Share the holiday spirit and build a 'hood at the same time! (and of course, go to Domus Depot for all your holiday decorating needs!)

RULES:

1. Any citizen is eligible as long as their nominated residence is in a 'hood of Rome, anywhere in Rome's 56 provinces.

2. A committee of two demis, the Roman scribes, and 2 other Roman volunteers will view all the nominations and pick 6 winners (1 first prize; 3 second prizes; 2 third prizes) based on the following criteria of quality:

a. Is it gorgeous?
b. Is it seasonal (i.e., Saturnalia)?
c. Does it teach us something about ancient Saturnalia, Rome, the 'hood it's in, or something else neat?
d. Does it make us laugh, or show creativity and fun?
