CONTEST DESCRIPTION AND RULES: Greetings Traveler, I am the Druid Priest Godwin Cruithni of the Nine Sacred Woods Grove. The people of Celtia are in great need of your kind service. An unknown Dark Sorcerer has turned his powers against our land and has scattered The Nine Sacred Woods throughout the far corners of Celtia. To break this curse and restore the well being of our land, we must find the Nine Sacred Woods in time to build our traditional Need Fire for The Festival of Betaine. A treasury of gold will await the champions of this endeavor as well as the deep gratitude of our people which will forever endure. May the bright spirits of our ancient ancestors steel thy arm and sharpen thy wit in this your most nobel quest.
 The Need Fire of The Nine Sacred Woods
Birch wood in the fire goes to represent what the Lady knows. Oak in the forest, towers with might in the fire it brings the God's insight. Rowan is a tree of power causing life and magick to flower. Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland. Hawthorn is burned to purify and to draw faerie to your eye. Hazel-the tree of wisdom and learning- adds its strength to the bright fire burning. White are the flowers of Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility. Grapes grow upon the vine giving us both joy and wine. Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen. But - Elder is the Wiccian tree burn it not or cursed you'll be.
The Nine Sacred Woods Hunt Guide: Sign up page pending. Winners and participants will receive cash awards and/or plaques! The Hunt will begin in Ebrauc on Saturday April 28th at 12:00 Noon (AW time /USA EST). In a post below you will be directed to the first clue. The Contest will close at 12:00 Midnight Sunday April 29th (AW time/USA EST). However, all who finish the hunt and send in all nine urls will receive a Participants Plaque to show off at their home site.
Simply follow the clues to the location of each sacred wood type. When you have gathered all nine url locations, click on this e-mail address below and send your list in proper order along with your persona name to: Please, DO NOT post the URLs anywhere on site.
Awards: As is the custom, members of Administration may play but are not eligible for cash awards and are asked to state your status with your list. The Nine Sacred Woods plaques hidden throughout Celtia and in their proper order are:
