cityIcon.gif About The Americas...

Welcome to the four worlds of The Americas. Long separated from the Eurasian and African populations by geographic isolation, the peoples inhabiting the North and South American continents and the islands of the Caribbean developed their own cultures, social systems, and technologies.

Archaeological evidence indicates that humans have probably lived on the North American continent for 12,000-15,000 years and in South America even longer. However, there is much debate over exact dates and even the means of getting to the Americas in the first place.

At AncientWorlds our focus is on the Americas' history prior to Columbus' landing in the Caribbean. There is one exception in that the Brethren of the Coast neighborhood in the Caribbean is cordoned off for the study and discussion of pirating and its history. Other than this, we ask you to please refrain from discussion that could be harmful or disrespectful of any existing culture or belief.
