Brighid was also known as a patron of healers and the healing arts. The well at Cill Dara was reputed to have amazing curative powers. Water from the well overflowed into a Bathing Pool, where a sick or injured person could be immersed in the healing fluid. People came from all over Eire for the cures offered by Brighid's dedicated "priestesses". |
