The origin of the Celts is fogged by the mists of time. They wrote nothing of themselves, having no written language. What little we know of their travels and expansions, comes from the ancient Greek and Roman historians. We do not even know what they might have called themselves. The Greeks named them "Keltoi", which has evolved into today's "Celts".
