This is where havoc reigns supreme. There will be a topic for each group of people, and your post should be placed in the topic of the people you are interacting with at the time. Please familiarize yourself with these rules of roleplay before you begin. You can discuss your character and the role you'd like to play on one of these topics. We will start posting before the flood to give everybody a chance to introduce their character, arrange for some friends to post with, and get used to posting in that character. Then the flood will begin.......

There won't be time to gather much from your crops, and most of them won't be ripe. Even if you gathered lots of food, the wheel hasn't been invented and the horse hasn't been domesticated.

You may migrate through the lands of people you traded with happily for hundreds of years, but when your entire community appears in their land, relations will have changed. You will be greeted with distrust in many cases, armed men in a few others. There may have been marriages between your peoples, but that may not overcome their fears about having enough food left for themselves and their travels (if the flood makes it to their land).

These people are somewhat more primitive than most of the other peoples around the Black Sea. They are still 'hunter/gatherers', but the LinearBandKeramic must have had fairly close relations with them, due to the words they have which had a PIE origin.

If there is a people who were hurt more than the others by the flood, it had to be these people. First the waterfall itself comes right into their midst. Then they suffer a gigantic mudslide. Add this to the flood, the fish dead from salt, the lost homes, the lost crops, the lost relatives....

These people are a strange mix. They may have spoken an Indo-European language, but unlike the Proto-Indo-Europeans, they had developed agriculture. They must have been very devastated by the flood, because (like the Vinca) they never settled near large bodies of water again. That would only be expected....they lived in the flatlands to the northwest of the lake, where the flood came at them a mile each day.

The Ubaids are thought to have originated at the east end of the Black Sea, south of the Caucasus Mtns. Their language has certain similarities with that of the people in those mountains.
